Centene's Georgia Subsidiary Awarded Statewide Medicaid Contract

ST. LOUIS, Nov. 18, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Centene Corporation (NYSE: CNC) today announced that the Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH) has awarded its Georgia subsidiary, Peach State Health Plan, a statewide managed care contract to continue serving members enrolled in the Georgia Families managed care program. The contract is expected to become effective July 1, 2017, and includes five additional one-year renewal options.

Through the new contract, Peach State Health Plan will be one of four managed care organizations providing medical, behavioral, dental, and vision health benefits for Georgia Families beneficiaries. The Georgia Families program covers members enrolled in Medicaid, PeachCare for Kids (the state's Children's Health Insurance Program), and Planning for Healthy Babies (the state's Section 1115 Family Planning Waiver program).
