ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Centene Corporation (NYSE: CNC) today announced that Aaron W. Brace has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Centene's South Carolina subsidiary, Total Carolina Care. Mr. Brace is based in the Total Carolina Care corporate office in Columbia, S.C.

Neidorff, Centene's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, stated, "Aaron Brace is a seasoned healthcare executive who has a broad knowledge in network management, business operations, marketing and finance. With his strategic vision and managed care experience, he will be a valuable asset in delivering quality healthcare in South Carolina."
Mr. Brace brings more than 17 years of leadership and healthcare experience to Centene. Most recently he served in a health plan senior management role with the Gulf States Region of UnitedHealthcare. Prior to that, he had a leadership role in managed care contracting for the Southeast Region of HCA. He also served as the managed care policy expert at the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Brace holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri in Columbia.
